Petit Lapin and COVID-19

Dear customers,

First of all, I hope you are well and safe during this difficult time.

You who follow me in the adventure of Petit Lapin since the opening. You who never stop giving me support and love during these beautiful years, even during the pandemic. Thank you so much. I’m very grateful.

Last Friday, June 12, was the day I handed over the keys to the owner. My son Ethan absolutely wanted to see his Petit Lapin for the last time. He and his little brother Dustin were very emotional. A picture is worth a thousand words!

It is therefore with much emotion and a heavy heart that I announce to you today the permanent closure of our Victoria location in Westmount. This is where Petit Lapin’s adventure started. With a simple dream, that of a mother who wants to offer her child a place where he can enjoy delicious desserts without any worry despite his many severe food allergies. And this moment of pure happiness she wanted to share with all those living the same situation as her son. You should never deprive yourself of desserts because of your food allergies! This dream has come true with a small space of 342 square feet located on Victoria Avenue in the Westmount neighbourhood! It was in this little bake shop that there were several joyful moments, magnificent smiles of happy children and tears of joy from parents seeing their allergic or celiac child enjoy a macaron or a cupcake or a donut for the first of their life. It is in this small space that the Petit Lapin team has made thousands of beautiful and delicious cakes for allergic or celiac children. Unfortunately, Petit Lapin on Victoria did not survive the pandemic.

Petit Lapin on Bernard resumed its activities since June 11th. It’s a gradual return since we’re just open 3 days a week with reduced hours for only pickups and deliveries. This pretty pastry shop located on Bernard Avenue, in Outremont could suffer the same fate as the one on Victoria since we live in a period full of uncertainties. So I call for your solidarity and I ask you to help us and support us. Think of Petit Lapin when you want to order desserts. Think of Petit Lapin for your next party. Think of Petit Lapin to mark the birthday of a loved one. Think of Petit Lapin to surprise someone, whether it is an employee, a friend, etc. Talk about Petit Lapin in your entourage. Refer, recommend, talk about Petit Lapin to your friends, neighbors, colleagues, family, etc. Word of mouth is the best communication that never gets old! We accept orders for pickup and we offer delivery everywhere in Montreal and its surroundings. Help us continue to contribute to the smiles of allergic or celiac children with our cakes, and to your happiness with our desserts!

Thank you so much,

Viviane, owner of Petit Lapin
